RED Group has inaugurated 2023 by acquiring Casa Dawson, a Colonial building abutting the famous and historic Santa Maria la Antigua Cathedral in Panama City’s Casco Viejo.

Casa Dawson is strategically positioned, bordering the newly opened 5-star luxury hotel La Compañia The Unbound Collection by Hyatt Hotels Corporation, and overlooking the historic Patio of the La Compañia de Jesus monumental church, now given to the hotel as a garden.

The building consists of 14 apartments spread over 3 levels, 2 commercial spaces, and two private rooftops serving the two penthouses.

“We are very proud of this latest acquisition because Casa Dawson is iconic not just on an architectural level, (the building is characterized by colonial-era architectural elements and “calicanto” stone friezes,) but also on a historical-cultural level” says Simone Di Giovanni, Managing Partner of RED Group Panama.

The building, in fact, was home to Felix B Maduro, among the first “department stores” in Panama City.
